How to Watch Threads

I really don't like the way the alerts are. I prefer the way they were on byc. I like things kept SEPARATE

I turned all alerts (and emails) off and just use the 'all watched threads page' bookmarked on my tool bar.
But I'm on a 17" PC laptop.
Never had or used mobile device, sounds like a software nightmare..and those tiny screens SMH.

I turned my alerts off too, because they weren't sending me emails just for quotes or PMs. They were sending them for everything.

And the alerts were pretty much duplicating what was on my watched threads list. No need to be told in two places.

But I wish I could get emails when someone quotes or mentions me. Just not for everything.
