I'm posting two pics here.
The first one is my two does that we think should be due anytime now. Last week they looked like they both had swallowed watermelons..lol. The one on the right is my Lamancha and I actually heard two extra heartbeats other than her own last week and her kids were kicking and moving all over the place. The goat on the left, should have bred same time approximately, and she was the same...looked like they were going to explode. Now they are just gorging on hay and grain, and last two days, bellies are so low to the ground that they look almost not pregnant and they are starting to make small udders. Neither of these are first fresheners, but I acquired these two from a friend who did not witness the exact breeding date.
The second pic is of my ND's "tutty"- and it has been poking out puffy like this for three days.
I know not the best pics, and they are from the left, but the right side looks just like the left now- temperatures very cold here and was so hoping they might go this weekend before I have to go back to work Monday. Any thoughts? Do you think we are getting close? All good guesses welcome!

Check their ligaments and are their udders looking "boom"?
How old is your Lamancha? In the pic she looks very tiny.
Any milky discharge?

No udders not looking "boom" but definitely larger than last night. Miss Twilight is a Mini Mancha. 50/50 Nigerian dwarf/ half Lamancha. No milky discharge from Twi last night, but from Oranji ( the other doe) has a dried milky looking discharge that wasn't there last night.

I was wondering if she was a mini! :D I have a mini mancha too! LOVE her!... anyway back to you... ;)

My DD is good at the ligs test... not me... BUT the milky white discharge has always meant my does were going within the next 24 hours... usually when I see that they go within 6... all my does have been pretty consistent with that. Your girls do look "dropped" that is the sunken part. Do you see any contractions? What is the behavior? Is either one getting up and down, restless, showing signs of being uncomfortable, pawing, trying to go off by themselves?

I haven't seen any pawing, but I haven't been in the barn with them the whole time and the weather is icy and cold here and they come out, eat hay, go back in the barn. lol As far as being uncomfortable, I think I would describe them as more "grumpy"- they definitely are being fussy about who enters the barn when they are in there and try to butt the others out- that is why they have tennis balls on their heads currently!

I like to let my does go where they want to kid but under those conditions you may want to "lock" them in and just keep fresh hay and water by them. Can you separate them from other animals?

BTW- You need a kidding thread so all can see the new arrivals! Just sayin' ;)

They are in a closed pen but with two barns inside the pen that have the doors open to come and go at will. They can't go far to kid and I will be home until Monday or maybe even until Tuesday all day and night, and have a baby monitor and am continuing to check on them every hour.

I will probably separate them tonight if they are still looking like kidding is near. I think they are holding their legs together until the weather warms up...
