Loving the herd life
I can definitely relate, my husband has been in for 24 years, with 6 deployments (Kosovo, Bosnia, Afghanistan). It was a big relief to find out we were moving since it has been rumored his unit is deploying.
We haven't gotten any rain to speak of, it's just hot, dry, and miserable. I grew up in the southwest so I'm used to it, but where I'm from has knee high grass and has gotten a lot of rain. We had a dust storm the other day, yay us.
Zillow is what I've been checking the most, lots of pictures. Some of the properties already have buildings for critters so those are at the top of the list. I'm a really bad carpenter, so the goal is to make it easier on hubby since he's the carpenter in the family. I'm not familiar with the weather there either, so I'm doing some research. Looks like the summers are hot but the winters get cold. I'm not a fan of the cold at all. I lived at Fort Drum NY for 4 years and I've had enough of snow and cold!
