Just venting. have 3 ND and 2 HL litters due the 16th, and the waiting is killing me. All the does are new for us, so I'm really curious what we get.

We had a bunny friend come over yesterday to "borrow" stud services for her does, and she plapated for us while she was here. Super excited, we've had issues with both of the HL does not taking when we've tried to breed them previously. I'm glad they both took this time. The ND's are all from another bunny friend who got out of breeding, but they're good proven does. Going to see what we get from them and decide if we're going to keep them or flip them out.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one. I was a nervous wreck when our doe kindled at the end of January. Read way too many horror stories, but everything went fine. She waited until T-1 hour to make her nest.

Hope everything is going well for you all! Full, wriggly nests are a marvel of nature :love

4/5 successful litters. Last one ended in an emergency spay, huge hippo blocked up the works and the kits never made it. That sucks, because she was my only pedigree show quality blue tort, but the silver lining is that we have a bunch of babies right now.

That's a bummer! We had one REW in the litter make it past weaning only to mysteriously drop dead at 8 weeks. He was the kids' favorite. It was awful. He was so pretty and one of the two largest at birth. But becoming reacquainted with the realities of birth and death is part of why we got into this.

Curious if you did a necropsy.
