Welcome to BYH. I raise hair sheep, but a lot of people on here have goats. I don't know about the plant you are talking about. But we had an issue last year with mimosa seed pods. Our hair sheep ate the dried bean pods and started having seizures. We removed all the pods and they didn't have any more seizures. Sheep are fun to raise, but sometimes there are issues that arise. I'm sure goats are somewhat the same as sheep when it comes to certain things.

Oh, and I love the pictures of your chickens. I have one chicken....we call her lone survivor, because she is the only one we have left. The other ones got killed by a predator.

Thanks for that information about mimosa seed pods! I love mimosa trees, admire them, but refuse to plant one because then you have millions of them coming up everywhere. This is even a better reason to admire them from afar, and NOT have one on my property.

Im a little late to the welcoming committee.. But Welcome! Its so cool you are looking into getting goats. Its funny, I have always wanted some but for now I will indulge myself with photos. However I have sheep, alpacas, hogs, and a couple birds so you could say we are busy. I absolutely love the photos of your chickens, they are lovely! :D
