Thanks for all the well wishes. My heart is still broken but I am recovering. How long does it take for the llama mother to quit looking for her baby. She breaks my heart and the cry she makes is pitiful.

Depends on the mom. Sometimes a couple weeks or so. It is heartbreaking.
