IHeifer Selection So Good It Hurts

As you may know, my ranchers give me first dibs on a calf every year as a bonus. You may also know I'm inclined to choose a heifer. What you may not know is that it has been a hard decision to make, especially if I try to leave emotions out of it, because my favorites are always an emotional issue with mIe.
All of that to say this: I had narrowed my choices down to two before shipping, but several that were held back for being the best were among my first round picks, so I was back to square one. Even with the "exceptional" candidates back in the mix, I . hadn't eliminated any of the "less desirables." Instead, I did what I almost always do...
