Our 2nd doe has kidded with a wonderful baby buck. Where she was so big we thought she may have at lease twins for the first time.

She still appears to have to fullness to her belly area which seems to feel firm in front of her udders. When our 1st doe kidded you could see how her sides were concave, but not that noticeable on this doe.

It's been a few hours since the first baby and all the after birth looks to have been expelled.

Is it ever possible that a 2nd baby could be inside? There is some gooey substance coming out of her again.

She did read all of that on fiasco farm site. She just isn't sure of what she is feeling being the first time doing that bounce test.

We're going to keep an eye on her for awhile and see she exhibits any further signs of giving birth.

I don't think so but better to be safe than sorry.

okay, i'm having the same issues....gonna have to go home and try to bounce my goat while the wife rolls on the ground laughing!

what's the longest "safe" time between kids? I'm relatively new to goats, and haven't been present for any of the births yet....they were pregnant when we got them and i didn't realize they were that close until i came home to find baby goats bouncing around. by the time i get home tonight it'll have been at least 24 hours since the first birth.

if i bounce her and determine there's still a baby inside, should i call for help immediately?

I would think that after 24 hours she should have passed the afterbirth already.

If you do discover a baby still inside I would definitely call a vet ASAP.
