Intro from Nowhere Texas

Hi All!

I'm an almost 61 (YIKES!) year old ex-big city woman, who turned country gal in 2004.

We live in an unfinished home in the middle of 32 acres in nowhere Texas. I love it here.

We have hair sheep - 21 "Texas Barbado" Sheep; 17 ewes and 4 rams; 3 White Dorper, 2 ewes and 1 ram, and a 1/2 Barbado/Dorper ram lamb that was born New Year's Day.

We have 3 French Lops, 1 Buck and 2 Does that refuse to breed.

2 Dogs, a 15 year old Boxer pup and a German Wirehaired Pointer.

3 cats, 1 part-time inside and 1 outside.

5 chicken hens.

About 200 Homing Pigeons, both white and colored.

White ringneck doves.

And a lovely yard ornament, 1 Bay Quarter horse mare.

Our place is loaded with oak trees, and various wild animals come and go.

I love posting pictures. Not sure if I can yet, but will as soon as I can.

I still live in the city... But... I have 6 hens, and help a friend by milking her goats one day a week to give her a day off.

I am feeling pretty blessed to be able to "pretend" I have a farm life!!
And I just turned 60...still thinking I can one day move from here to a farm....
