Greetings all. I'm an over the hill wanna be farmer whose mother grew up on the farms of Wyoming. I always wanted one of my own and decided to do something about it now.

I have a pair of goats, but I was wondering if my flocks of chickens and ducks would count as herds, lol.

Sure they count as herds! We all do what we can to fit where we are. I was a member here for 5 years, avidly reading and studying the forums while living on a small city lot with chickens in the backyard and a garden in the front. LOL We retired to 8 acres and now we have sheep, chickens, 5 LGDs , 3 feeder pigs and 3 horses. Already had the horses, but lived in town.

This is a friendly bunch of people so join in the conversation and enjoy knowing that there are a lot of folks just like you.
