My buck is as horny as can be, and he's of breeding age. My one particular doe is proven, and very horny too. She lifts nonstop for him, and he mounts each time. However, he never falls off. So I am assuming he's not hitting the mark. This has been going on all morning. Is there hope that he will be a daddy or is he just retarded?

turn the buck on his back and check his "man parts" sometimes there is a thin membrane on the penis that pulls it in a direction that keeps it from entering the doe. just needs snipped or pulled off. and just make sure it is a buck (don't ask why i mention this). :idunno

My doe never lifts and my buck was new, so he only did his job once, on her tail b/c it was water logged[she jumped into the water dish]. But this week I tied her tail and positioned her for him, he got it right and boy was he excited about doing it again and again after the confidence boost.
I don't think bucks finish until they enter. Mine starts at it, but he's slowly moving down, once he gets to the right spot and enters, he finishes, all in the same moment.

So, my point, make sure he is hitting the right spot.

I would sincerely recommend getting a new buck, if the doe is very receptive it would be wise to get a new buck while she is still in the mood. Even if the buck can breed, he may bring some unwanted genes into your rabbitry.
