@OneFineAcre Udders? seemed perfectly normal to me as it is always a question as to whether or not it is an indication of impending birth. :)

I have one due in March, a FF, whose udder looks just like her sister's, and she is due in a week. Soooo, either there was a buck in the woodpile or udders ? fits her to a "t"

I am going to chime in here. I have a few hundred kiddings under my belt (not exaggerating) and this is what I have learned from observing hundreds of pregnant goats. Some will show signs for a month before kidding. Some will show none at all and then POOF- baby. Some will show signs they are going to kid any second now and are not pregnant. Some you will swear cannot possibly be pregnant and then drop quadruplets.

Sooooo, unfortunately, all you can do is wait and see. I have noticed behavior is more of an indicator than physical signs. But for me, it is just knowing my goats. Knowing what is normal and what isn't. Knowing which goat is behaving differently than she normally does. In a lot of cases, my experience just tells me "she is close". I can't even say what it is that tells me so, I just "know". Sometimes I "know", and am wrong.

They will have their kids on their time table and only after they have driven you Bat Cra@ crazy. So sit back and enjoy the ride. :barnie

The only thing I can say concerning goats and being predictable, is they are unpredictable! Unless you have confirmed dates of the buck breeding with the doe you would have a better chance winning a bet in a casino than trying to figure out birthing times with a pregnant goat. No doubt it's extremely exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. It's probably best to be relaxed about it and let the goat surprise you when she's ready, because that's most likely what is to happen. Otherwise you will go insane waiting, wondering and constantly checking your does. Breeding goats and having kids is one of the most rewarding things about owning goats, but the most aggravating too. Once you have several kiddings under your belt you will be more relaxed and patient about it. We've all been where you are now and it's easier as time goes on to bear the stress of kiddings. Good luck!
