What is this? The so called plug? How long after they loose this do they usually kid?

Why does she not even look like she is really bagging up?

Kinda worries me that she won't have enough milk?

Thank you!

A doe can lose her plug sometimes 30 days before kidding. Also some does don't come into milk until just before they kid.

Do you know when her due date is?

How long was he in there? If you have a start and end date for the time he was with her, then you can at least have a window. For this reason, it is not recommended to run bucks and does together because you can never really know when they are due and therefore can't prep the doe or your kidding area for kids. Next year, only let her in with him when she's in heat.

Till he passed away :( I can get that from the vet probably.

I did not know when they were in heat or how to tell. I guess I need to read up on that :)

Thank you they seem well this am.

Is there anything I should give the baby or mom now medication wise or when? They did not have CDT but I thought I read baby cant have that till 1 month old? What about wormer or anything for coci? Mom is not due for bose till May but what about the baby when do they get that?

Also mom does not seem to have much of a bag but there is milk and I think enough for the one baby. What can I do to help her have more milk? she just getting alfalfa and grass hay.

I was thinking goat chow with milk pellets?
