What state/province/country are you in and what is your climate like? We are in Rains County, Texas.
How many people are in your family? Marital status? We are a family of 10. I am single.
How would you define your farm? Survival of the fittest
Have you ever built a house, barn , or other types of building? Do you want to? Does a pallet hay shed count? Yes, I would love to learn how to build stuff.
Who or what inspired you to be a farmer/rancher, hobby farmer? The Bible
Is it a hobby or an occupation? Both
Can you drive a farm tractor or a semi? I can drive a tractor.
Do you like to garden? If so, what do you enjoy growing? This spring/summer was my first time gardening. I successfully grew tomatillo, serrano peppers, and habanero peppers.
How much space/land do you have or rent? City farm? Country? We are on 5 acres in the country.
Are you interested in herbal animal medicine? Yes!
Are your family or friends also interested in animals? Yes, everyone in our household is partaking in the homesteading journey.
Do you like to cook? Are you interested in whole foods and natural foods? raw milk? farm fresh eggs? I enjoy cooking and make many things from scratch. We currently purchase raw milk from a local farm and get eggs from our 70+ chickens.
