Hey everyone, so i have a 4 month old doeling who is becoming a lap dog. Within the last few weeks she's been playing on the chair i have in their pasture so that i can sit and pet them. I got into it the other day and she jumped into my lap and laid down. It was super cute but i can't help but think she'll continue to do this when she's 75lbs. It's this normal? What's the best way to tell a goat 'no' and curb bad behavior.

Yes, she'll continue for a while. Stop her at point of jump and say no, or stop. Then love on her while she's standing.

Personally I like "stop" because with horses I rarely said no because it sounds like whoa. 😁 Habits.

My baby goats did the same thing. I have a chair at the barn and they would go under it, behind it and jump up in it, even when I was sitting in it. Drove me crazy. They are just really playful when they are young. I ended up putting my chair in the feed room and only taking it out when I needed it and I would say "stop" when they did that behavior. After a while they didn't do it anymore. I think because they got older, but they learn fast. They are such curious little things.
