Omg, I didn't think of that. No, it was on the main highway on the way to the hospital. We got there about 5-6 minutes after she came out.

I told him to keep driving, he did speed up. Thankfully we didn't get pulled over and there was no traffic.
I was trying to keep breathing through the contractions, felt the water break, reached down and felt she was going to come out. Then two ish pushes later her head was out, another two ish pushes later she was out and crying. Her cord was over a shoulder, not sure if actually around her neck but I got her resituated to get the cord away from her neck and held her and then we were pulling up to the L&D and a half dozen nurses came out to get us out of the car.

Wow! DH likes to tell me that women used to work in the fields, walk over under a tree, give birth and go back to planting rice. I usually hit him about then.

Make sure there is a picture of that car. Lean against the car, holding your baby. She will want to see that some day.
