Thanks Ladies. :hugs (@B&B Happy goats and @Carla D )

I think you are doing a great job! I love the set up for your kids. I think a person can be only so prepared, it is a whole new experience once you actually bring home the animals! :)
I am glad you have taken everything with such a nice spirit. Sometimes things meant in good faith can be taken very wrong. I often think it is more the person sitting behind the screen's perception.
One can never know tone etc in text form. And trust me I seem to tick alot of people off. :hu
There are so many great people here. We all do learn from one another and it is really a great community.
Everyone starts somewhere and it sure can be a learning curve.
You find as time goes by that sometimes you have to change things up. Management is not a one size fits all and many factors are involved.
Living in NC - our weather is generally pretty darn nice but in our region hot temps, high humidity of the South can cause lots of parasite issues.
This year we have had like 3 straight seasons of RAIN! Lots of people this way are struggling to keep up and monitor their herds.
Other things like watching for hoof issues etc...
So management this year has had to change a bit. Whereas people in hot dry areas, more desert like rarely have parasite issues but still have coccidia.
That is why the community here is so great. There is always someone familiar with a particular area and can bring a little more help.

This community has seen me through some tragic events. Prayed for us, prayed for my dogs, cried with me, loved me, encouraged me, rejoiced with me, grieved with me.
I am not on much but read alot of posts. You have found a great place and will make wonderful friendships here.
