I discovered lice on my goats - YUCK! So we've treated with Permitherin spray and wormed with Valbazen. I have read these little buggers only like goats but now I find myself itchy whenever I'm with the goats.
We decided to shave the goats down and started with one today and while I was shaving him down I noticed a small lump on his neck. He's a Nigerian Dwarf and it was about half way up his neck. It looked like it had two little holes like blackheads. Of course this makes me go into a panic about CL. Our large animal vet is extremely expensive ($150 for a barn call) so I'm wondering what people usually are charged for a lancing and to send it for testing? I would like them to lance it at the office so it's not here.
