Locust Haven kidding thread 2014

Our first two does kidded for the season, We are off to a good start with 23 more does to go and only loosing one pregnancy so far out of the group to an abortion at 3 months into gestation.
Here are the first two sets of twins.
first picture is a doe and a buck born in the middle of the night, and it was a warm 4 degrees outside. No heat in the barn, It was chilly to say the least.

this picture(below) is of a set of bucks born the next night, also in the middle of the night and also right at 5 degrees. Waiting for warmer weather this weekend.

Thank you, We had a busy week, with 12 does kidding, a total of 23 kids. Then later in the evening we had a two more does kid, each with singles bringing our total to 14 does and 25 kids. I took some pics, but have not had time to process them. 8 more does due for the season, 3 of them any time, the other 5 later in March.

Sounds like baby doelings are in the lead! Cannot wait for the total, pictures and hearing about all the beautiful healthy babies playing!
