Hi everyone, I'm trying to get an ND goat from Guelph, Ontario to Halifax, Nova Scotia and the airline's price is outrageous! Hoping someone will see this and think, "Hey, I'm driving that way and wouldn't mind picking up a little gas money", or something like that. If you are, or know someone who is, please contact me. Thanks!!

I would look at private pet transport companies. I am having 6 chickens shipped from Texas to Georgia for a very reasonable price plus they get to ride in the AC.

So for awhile on tv there was this show called shipping wars, and the shippers on that show were all using uship.com

I've never used it, can give no accreditation for it, but you might want to check it out.

Thanks much, never saw the program but just went on the Uship site and signed up. Now just have to hope that someone bids on it. I really want this goat!! But can't justify $400 shipping. For that, I should just buy her a seat on the plane. :) Will let you know what happens, cheers all.

Really want to know how it works out, so yes please keep us up to date. Even if it's a no-go.

I use u-ship and got a bid in 8 hours on my transportation. The trick is to find somebody who already has a trip planned and then let your goat ride along. It's a lot cheaper

Well, no one yet has responded to my Uship ad, but, luckily, I have found someone who does livestock transport. He is in New Brunswick and is happy to bring my new baby down from Ontario for me, and at a reasonable price, so in two weeks, she'll be here. She isn't actually a baby, but you know what I mean. I'm very happy.
