Lovely beehive I saw yesterday...

I stopped at a little homestead on the south coast of Co Clare yesterday to enquire about the free range eggs advertised for sale at the gate. We ended up visiting with the flock owner for a bit and had a tour of her her wonderful little homestead. I enquired about this wonderful beehive her husband built and took some pics to show you all.

Interesting, it looks like a combination between a langsroth (the left side) and a top bar (the right side). But where are the bees?

Yeah, something's missing! It sounds like they are planning to get some bees at some point. That hive is so lovely, it needs some bees in it.
