mama and baby have lice

hello i have a ? my mama and baby have lice vet said he can't give her anything because she is nursing the is almost a month old is there anything i can put on them to kill the lice but won't hurt her or baby? it kills me to see them suffer please help thanks so much!!!!!!

There is a livestock dust that you can buy and put on both. Do it every 2 weeks for 3 times.

I'm not sure. I know there is one at Tractor Supply. I just use Sevin Dust. You could use that too. I get that at Home Depot or Tractor Supply.

It hasn't hurt mine but I only put it on their backs. I think the livestock dust is safer but have never used it myself. You have to post 10 times before you can post pictures. I think there is a thread on here on how to post pictures. Just do a search.

I used olive oil and tea tree oil. One half cup of oil with four drops of tea tree oil. It seemed to do the job, I did it weekly for about a month and havent seen any new lice.

thank you all so much this is my first time with goats the first goat i bought already pregnant thank god everything went great she had a boy then i got 2 more goats a male and a female..from the same person they must of already had the lice when we got them!!! i've had so much fun with my babies miranda and little booger and then we have trace and dolly!!!
