Bruno has been playing mud pies! He made me laugh, just look at that face! And all the mud,,,,,,,,

You have so much grass! Beautiful, lovely grass! Getting fence up is a lot of work, but so worth it.

I got home from work at 1:30pm and worked on fencing. I also did some snake rescue. This guy had his head tangled in an old piece of bird netting. I freed him and he slithered off. Facebook group says he is a prairie kingsnake.

Love King snakes. Never seen a rattler on our side of Sunland Boulevard but lots of King snakes. Story is that the original owner of all this land had a huge chicken ranch business. He was terrified of rattlers and bought 1000 King snakes and released the in this area. (That is Anyway, no rattlesnakes here but across the boulevard there are tons of them and in the wash tons of them. King snakes are impervious to their venom and eat rattlesnakes. I wonder if I could get any King snakes and release them on the Yantis ranch. Would they eat copperheads and water moccasins though? And there would still be alligator snapping turtles. Ugh!

King Snakes -Good snakey snakes!
Some minor chasing but they settled down to graze. Snickers is not testing the permanent wire so far.
