If tires are in pretty needy shape, go there -- safety. Show season is almost over. Then consider healthy for sheep and easier for human upkeep -- go with rock. Remember the mud.
2024-2025 show season is just starting for us and runs thru March 2025. So trailer will be getting a lot of 3hr each way trips. On the other hand, need to keep the animals healthy so there is a point for the trailer.
Work is still being a PITA mostly because of idiot HR Lady. The bonus is for 2Q2024 work when I was still under BossLady. The only way I would not have gotten it is if I was fired for cause before payout. There will be no 3Q2024 bonus because the Joe Idiot is so far over budget and timeline on his projects it isn't funny.
Bonus $ is good if it can be used for "special" -- not just bills. At this stage, my job is strictly work per job, no bonuses. BUT my bonus is just working for my wants
DD works for Lowe's, in mgmt, and she gets great bonuses!! Shocked me, after such great pay. But when I was the age of you youngins now, pay was not so good. Huge differences. 50 yrs ago, great pay was less than min starting pay now.
My opinion is rock pad for the sheep shed and a spare tire for the trailer. Go to local junk yard for about $50 or less you can pick up a spare. Somewhere on those tires as all tires is a date stamped on them there is 4 numbers followed after the DOT stamp, the first two are the week/month, last two are the year. Make sure the spare tire you get is less than 7 years old.
Like this example, this one is January/February 2016. Most tire shops especially large ones won't touch tires over 6 years old, too much liability.
Rock tire rock tire …..
Almost sounds like
Paper scissors rock
Good work on the clean out. But yike 4 hrs! Now think I’m happier with cleaning out the stalls once a week - but there’s no choice here as the stalls are foam floor with heavy rubber sheeting on top. Yeah horse style.
@SageHill I wish I was done in only 4hrs! Put another hour in this morning.
@Ridgetop Still wandering with zero interest in the sheep. Staying slightly closer ie not crossing the highway but that's it. If I can get the last couple dead trees down on fence line of home acre, I can try hot wire again. If he stays in then he MIGHT stay as farm dog. Otherwise, he's getting rehomed.
