Gell stepped on a thorn Wednesday sometime. I managed to capture her and treat it today.

It’s in a bad spot between and into side of toe just above horn. It’s oozing pus and horn and flesh are separated. I cleaned it with chlorohexidine and sprayed with Alumninum bandage spray. I gave her a dose of LA200. Hopefully that solves it.

Granny separated her hoof wall up to the crown on a front toe. I did all the clean and wash, clorohexidine and wrapped it in vet wrap, to keep the hoof wall from tearing completely off. It later came off, but at least it protected the toe for awhile. The vet wrap also kept the dirt out.

You might want to wrap her foot with a treated pad, then use vet wrap.

It turns out Dominic's not sick. His pancreas has just kicked back in temporarily. It's called Honeymoon which is a horribly inaccurate name.

I wasn't able to catch Gell today but she was putting full weight on the hoof. I spent all day decorating cakes for Cub Scout Blue & Gold dinner. The kids got rank badges and two boys moved up to Boy Scouts.
