the ones I have at the barn don't have a handle on the top - but the lid has a rim around it about an inch or so wide
We have one like that - I wonder where we got it since I like it better than the ones with handles on top. It is easier to open and close than the oes with the top handle since I try not to use the handle on top anyway.
I marked the inside of the cans at the barn so if I asked how much was left I got an answer that we all understood.
GREAT IDEA! I have an empty can that we plan to fill today and will do that immediately! I am always being asked by DH and DS1 how much is left in the cans and I never know other than it is full, half full, or empty. LOL

Metal trash cans - the ones I have at the barn don't have a handle on the top - but the lid has a rim around it about an inch or so wide - no problem with getting water in from the top, I don't remember if there are handles on the sides - I ~think so, and those would have the moisture leak. Though the one I have for chicken feed I put duct tape over any rivets on the inside and that solved the water problem.

I think the brand name of the metal cans with the wider lid/no handle is Behrens ??? I just bought 3 for the nurse cow barn, to put the grain in the "hay section"... so I don't have to take it by the bucket up there like I was doing...keeping it in the car in the bags and then filling the buckets... They are like 30 gallon sized... They do have handles. Not as easy for the ground hogs to get them off like they were doing in the past... I wasn't sure when I got them, but I like them....

So RockinTLC Farms contacted me about using my deposit from last year. These are my two ewes! Pickup will be late July / early August. Twins from 2 different sets with different sires for the ewes. :love

Their cost will be covered by selling my 4 registered and 1 unregistered lambs. I have one triplet for meat since he is staying so runty.
