I recently bought a Nigerian dwarf doe, when I got here both teats were about half full, her kid drained it and it has not filled since. someone suggested that it could been killed by mastitis.
That's the story, and my question is; would it show up in a CMT from milk on the other side? there isn't any milk on the empty side.

Do you happen to have any pics of when her udder was 1/2 full? Just so we could see what it did look like?

No I don't, I took the first picture in the evening when we got home and that was right after the kids nursed.

This really looks the same as the pic posted 1st, IMO. I'd be willing to bet she did have a problem on that side at some point - I just can't offer any help about what, why, etc. :hu

She obviously has/had mastitis in that one side. I would do a CA mastitis test strip to see if it is still an issue, and if so, get some injectable antibiotics for her.
My guess would be that she is still infected on that side.
After she has her next kidding, you should see a better response in both sides.

check out this post

This particluar doe had a larger mastitis side after drying up - your's got smaller.....?

Then, if she had mastitis on that side and it's "gone" wouldn't that side be smaller after all?

She doesn't have any milk on that side, would it be accurate from milk from the other side?

Thank you glenolam for being so helpful with every problem I have had!!!

She is doing well, still no milk. I gave her some antibiotics, and she got a 1 hour cold and had diarrhea for an hour also.

Now the empty side is a light pink like the full side instead of tan as it was before.

She is running around and climbing up my trees :/ and getting into a lot of trouble!
