I say maybe this time because of what Annie did to me...
However, my wonderful doe Seven, a nubain La'mancha cross,
6998_img_0925.jpg

who is due on Friday *and I know this this time because I witnessed the conception date* appears to be getting ready for labor.
Shes laying down a lot and humming. I never knew goats could hum!
Anyway, she started off with a grunt here and there, and now her breathing has picked up and the grunts are coming more frequently in between the hums.
She could be messing with me like Annie did, but im going to keep an eye on her and hopefully she will actually have her baby and not lie to me.
Fingers crossed!

Didn't Annie's labor last 2 months? :D

Just joking.
Blue moon- did you actually see this mating! :plbb
i actually did! And after that he left her alone, so im going off of that date.
though knowing my luck this is false labor or something and in a month she'll have it :barnie
But, she is passing some mucus right now, lots of up and down...so, maybe...
Maybe...I an't holding my breath...

Any updates? I sure hope its the real deal for you this time....but that adorable face looks like it has some mischief behind the eyes!

I have completely given up on the goat I was watching (I bought her and she had a surprise breeding so I don't know the dates)...she's been really bagged up for over a month and has been faking me out for weeks! I can totally emphasize with your Annie experience....it made me feel better reading all the antics she put you through and knowing I am not the one going crazy watching a goat's back end.

Well, so far her ligaments have been pretty much gone all day, so I am assuming tonight or tomorrow morning. *or a month from now...Don't you dare Seven (glares at the goat)*
She has also been VERY quiet today, where usually she wails her head off since she hates the pen.
Shes pawing at the ground and shes still humming while shes laying there. Which she has never done.
No stretching though...
I am going to eat my hat if she pulls what Annie did....

Well...This might be something?
Shes doing everything possible to try and escape her pen, where for the last four days shes been fine and content. Wailing, but fine.

Whelp, shes still loosey goosey back there with no sign of her ligaments, so it looks like i'll be staying up until midnight and then waking up around six to check on her. Ugh...
At least i have the date she was bred!! @_@ Here we go again...
