I am milking a Nubian everyday, her milk is pure white, creamy and yummy, I also milk a Guernsey, her milk is a creamy color, but equally yummy... Any one know why one is pure white and one is off white? Different fat content maybe?? If one didn't taste good I could maybe understand the difference in appearance, but they are both awesome.

I wondered about something like that, but since then the gal I got my Guernsey's from said she was told that their milk is a faint golden color like their hair and skin and eyes, so it must just be natural. The milk is really yummy, so I am not worried about it, just thought it strange.

Ok, not sure if you can really tell a difference in the pictures, but here goes, camera pictures not the best...

I remembered to take the picture, only AFTER I had already fed the quart of the whiter milk to the babies, that is why the different size jars.
