hello! I was just wondering if I'm getting what I should from my doe, I've milked her 3 times, I'm doing it once a day, after separating her single kid for 6-8 hours. The first day I got 4 ounces, the next 2 days was 6 ounces each. And this really seems to be all she will give, when I "bump" her bag I kind of massage and push up on it, maybe I'm not doing it hard enough, the kid seems to really bam into it! She is from dairy lines. thanks:)

How old is the kid?
That doesn't sound too bad for a first freshener on 6-8 hours.
And, they will hold back some until you completely wean the kids.

I don't think that's too bad. They do not reach peak lactation until 2 to 3 months. And, she's a first freshener too.

Great success yesterday! I got 12 ounces (these are fluid, sorry), double what I had been. I think I've got my technique down.
