Our couches didn't make the move. We were down to one comfy chair and a porch chair for living room furniture. So tonight we went to a friend at church's house and picked up two used love seats that they didn't want anymore for free and loaded them in the newly repaired truck (NEW LIGHTS! THANK YOU DEER. Dashboard display and cabin light still doesn't work, but i'd rather not the deer help us with that). They lived on the other edge of the AG reserve. Google thought we needed to go down a dark single lane windy dirt road and Ford part of a reservoir with steep banks with my tiny truck to get there. NOPE. I stopped short there. Bad Google directions. So we drove around the lake, added about 20 minutes to the trip but we did not get stuck and we still got there. I've never had Google directions that stupid. Maybe in a lifted vehicle, but those were brief but steep banks on each side and this truck gets stuck if there's too much clover on a hill.
Still dealing with a stomach bug from earlier, but who cares! We've got enough seating for the family in our tiny front room now.

Ah - Google tanks a lot around here. So many grove access "roads" to locked gates. The you can't get there from here when there is only 1/4 mile away. That "road" in Google is not a road. It's a driveway, or a dirt ranch road on private property.
Had Google try to take me up a mountain on something that was little more than a game trail - nope!

There was a case within the last couple years of a man dying because his GPS directed him to a bridge that wasn't there anymore. :hit

I don't trust it, I have the veto.

I laugh at the idea of leaving a review, but the road just kind of dropped off with no warning and no light beyond the truck headlights. Suddenly very developed territory was the wilderness, maybe 15 minutes from the Urban. The reviewer is justified. Maybe I'll leave one too, not that it will be much of a warning. I doubt very many people will read it until it's almost too late like us. MD's kind of weird!

I zoomed in pretty far to get the creek/river visible (red pin to the top left), but we came from the south and east of this place and it looks like this. We drove through messy shopping complexes, townhomes and apartments, and McMansions in the trees and then suddenly there was a ford!

Editing to add: We got our final (for this house) couch today, picked up in the truck. We are working on trying to make this house feel like a home.

We were in Yelm, WA one year and wanted to find the Walmart. No problem! GPS took us straight to - an empty lot!

A friend was pulling her horse trailer to meet our horse group at a beach camp where we spent a week every year. She was late and since she came alone we were getting worried. Finally she showed up and said she had been low on gas and put gas station into her GPS. The directions took her to an oil derrick in a field!

GPS is not always to be trusted. I have often had to use my phone when our truk GS steered us wrong! LOL

Glad you have furniture to sit on now!
