I bred two of my does last month. This is their first kindle, and was the first time the buck has ever been used. One kindled yesterday morning and the other this morning, 10 and 9 kits respectively. So far everything looks good. I'm hoping they do as well as my other two does did last month. I have 17 bunnies from those nests that are now 5 weeks old. :celebrate

Well, my goodness, buns are popping out all over at your place!

Congrats! Oh, and give your buck a real nice treat... the guys like that. :)

I really do need to give the buck, "Bugs Bunny" a treat. He does deserve it. I'm afraid I thought I would test him early. He was only 4 months old. But after I put the first female in it became very obvious that HE thought he was ready... ;) So I ended up breeding him with both of the younger does, and when the kits to my other females turned 3 weeks I rebred them to him. I was concerned that he might be too young and I wouldn't get any kits but it seems my worries were unfounded. :) I do need to charge up the batteries to my camera. Right now I have 36 kits, with 2 more litters due in 2 weeks... I'm going to be busy here in a month, stocking up my freezer!
