Chillin' with the herd
I finally found a boar for my girls - unfortunately he also seems to be the only boar around these parts so I will have to look at possibly importing in another year or two unless I find someone else with the breed. And because he is the only boar around, I had someone contact me wanting to breed to him, and then a month later ask me if I'd take her two girls as they were escaping on her and the neighbor threatened to shoot them. So now I have a small possey of ossabaw pigs. 4 girls and 1 boy. I'm loving them, they are so incredibly friendly and such characters.
And Louise is looking like she will be having babies, her due date is December 21. Thelma is still a maybe....and the other two if they have been bred will be next year.
