HWC is hard to work with. All those sharp points that plot against you and stab you! Your craptastic performance is looking pretty darn impressive!

After I got home from church I went out to the coop to do something. I was still feeling tired from Saturday, so I tackled the hasps.

I had to trim the HWC on the door, but once the hasps are closed the missing wire won't matter.

As I was finishing up number three I thought I heard thunder, and I felt a few drops of rain. Good thing I wasn't in the middle of fighting the HWC!


I'll add carabiners later.

It’s coming along! You are building for a permanent structure. Taking your time, doing it right, for a coop that will give you years of service.

I threw mine up in 4 days……. Temporary scrap and crap that is evidence of my lack of give a _ _ _ _ (manure) attitude. I don’t intend to keep it permanently. The chickens in it will be ready for slaughter in 2 weeks if not sooner. My plans are to tear it down. But on the other hand, it would (with tarps removed) make a rabbit proof raised bed…… add some “sheep dirt” BWAHAHAHA

I'm making a screen house to grow my tomatoes in. I've got bug proof fabric going over mine because of the stink bugs that attack my tomatoes every year. By golly I'll have bug free tomatoes this year! If you have a bug problem you sure could do the same. It's close to your house also - you could put in a kitchen garden!

Oh, that's an idea! I could grow squash without borers.

They will need manual pollination.

I'm going to try to slip some squash in mine also. Yes, on hand pollination, but shouldn't be a big problem at all.

Heck, I'm already planning on enlarging this one!
