They are all registered with ADGA, I'm not quite sure how to go about all the paper work, I'm thinking it's not complete...I don't know, but will get that part sorted out, thinking I'm going to need some help with that part. :hu I am in love with them, they are beautiful to me and I don't think I could of asked for a better Mothers/Birth day gift.

Here is my Nubian Buck, 1 year old

The bucks, have scurs, I am not quite sure what to do about that, I've been reading here and there on it, new learning experience :hide , they came from out of state, I have been wondering for a bit, why everyone has been acting weird around me, now I know why..... non goat people, learning on goats, so they could buy me goats. :love my family is awesome. :thumbsup And we're going to travel for a ADGA registered Saanen doe in milk, in 2 weeks, I knew about her, she was all I thought I was getting and was more than happy to have just her. I look out my window and am still thinking wow. I already had 18 goats out there :p *edit and 3 about to kid!!!! I'm  :/ :D

they are cute! My ND doe, Peekaboo, was my birth/mother's day gift too, but I knew about her, and chose her, lol. How fun to be totally surprised like that!

I don't think the LaMancha buck is registerable, though. Looks like he's got elf ears?

With the scurs, you can restrain them in a milkstand and use a wire saw to trim them back a little at a time. If they are firmly attached to the head, there may be a blood supply to them, so go slowly and carefully. If they're wiggly, sometimes you can just break them off, or cut them, and there's no blood in them.

It was awesome and nerve racking at the same time, I wouldn't let them bring them in because I didn't know their health/test stats. But all is good with them, this was planned for at least a month or so ahead. Me at the gate....:th :duc :ep :D They promised not to do it again. I am good on goats and not to listen to me even if I say (when I visit here) ooohhhh I want one :p

I didn't think so either, his papers are different, they have ADGA on them, but it says record, or something like that and gopher ears, I haven't taken the time to read over and go threw it all, I should. He is super sweet tho.
The scurs are soft, it's gross feeling to me. First time my stomach has really turned with a goat. :p Found my weakness.

Congrats!

The aged Nubian doe is VERY down in her pasterns, I'd recommend some BoSe, probably a series every 3 mos, to see if they'll come back up.

I was wondering what to do about her condition, I talked to the breeder/ owner and she said that she was ready to breed, had taken a year off, because owners she sold her to had left her in a pasture with 3 kids on her and no water for an amount of time that no one is sure of, once she heard what was going on with her doe,she went and picked her up. I was not going to breed her until she looked better, my next questions/post was going to be on what can I do , if anything for her. I really like her, she is a very nice doe.

What am I asking for when I call the vet? I called 3 today and everyone of them said they have never heard of it.....and no one does livestock, I'm going to try to call the town over's vets. And other than this, do I need to do anything else special for her, I don't mind spoiling her...just a little if needed. :D
