She looks TW. Does she have a running walk? The gene is VERY dominant, even in half-TW's. I'll bet she grows to 15'2hh. TW's are usually between 15-16 hh, on the average, but they were bred with Percheron blood, so there are lines that grow taller than that.

BTW, gaited horses are known for their "rubber legs." I've owned 6 gaited/half-gaited and I've seen them ALL cross their hocks over their other hocks and they are more flexible than non-gaited horses are, in the way that gymnists are--not "flexion."

Thanks! Her Back foot does fall in front of where the front foot was.
She is very calm. And I put my 23 month grandbaby on her for a few seconds and she didn't mind at all. I can't wait until she is old enough to ride!

What ducks said. I've seen some TWHs that look more like small Belgians. They also go through a horrible awkward stage where they are all legs and it takes a few years before their bodies catch up. The trainer at our barn breaks them as older yearlings (winter of their yearling year) but won't canter on them until they are at least 4 yrs old.

One of my friends has a cute little TWH that's only about 14.2hh, but since she's only 5 feet tall, they are great together.

She does look TW. Tia is a TW and is built like that, longer neck, leg and back, longer flatter croup than most. Light weight, they tend to stay thin.

Tia was a rescue I took in in grade 1 body condition, here is an old picture of her well into recovery. I don't seem to have anything current uploaded.

She was pregnant when she got here (the stallion she was running loose with looked to be TB/Arab cross.) This is her colt at 2 years old.

He is 3 this year and I'll just start him now, nothing heavy about him at all and he was physically not ready last year, but his mom was so behind it's not to say he would not have been had with a better start.
