Definitely a honey locus lol. My thumb still feels like it got stabbed by a nail. I inadvertently grabbed without thinking and without gloves.
I have about 8 or 9 on my property that I've found.
Wish the thorns on mine were that huge... they'd be easier to avoid. Here's what mine look like:

Yeah, we have black locus here as well which is what I had cut down a couple years ago for the posts I've been using for my fencing. Still have about 50 posts left stacked up waiting for myself to get started on the back pasture fencing again.Black locust is what you want for fence posts. They will last 30 years.................honey locust only about 10-12 years.
Both have thorns, tho the thorns look different.
