Does anyone here own these cute little cattle?
Also, I'm looking to see if there's anyone who knows how much it would cost to get semen straws sent from the USA to Australia, and if it's even doable/if there's anyone willing to participate?

I'm trying to research if it's worth pursuing a good foundation stock in these critters when I get everything set up. It won't be for a while, but I thought I'd get a head start now while I have the time.

I'm in the semen sales business, and my company (Genex) sells and ships semen to Australia, but I have no idea how much it would cost. There is also the question of the health requirements and possibly quarantine of bulls/semen before being allowed to ship it.

I would suggest that you contact some of the major semen distribution companies and find out what the requirements are for this. Also, I've never seen semen from mini Zebu being offered for sale. There may be some from private breeders, but I have no idea who or where to look for it. Good luck!

I agree they're not a huge breed at the moment(no pun intended) but I'm hoping someone might be willing to help me get a good line going here. I know there is one person on Kangaroo Island who has them, but I can't source all my gene pool from one person, and that's provided they'd even sell me one or two heifers in the first place
Fingers crossed I can get someone onboard and its not going to cost my first, second and third born children!

Find out what they have in their herd before you discount them as a sole genetics source.

Mikiz, not sure if I am doing things correctly on here, new to this site. We are North of Brisbane we have Nadudana cattle & we have USA semen available.
