Anyone else given their guys/gals a shave down yet?? I just love how much smoother & cleaner they are. If you've made your goats naked post pics here!! I have a few more nakies that are lookin' good too but they haven't had their photo shoot yet. :)

Lookin' good!

I wish it was warm enough here to shave, but it just isn't yet. Maybe late May at the earliest, but probably June. I really want to see what my buck looks like under there, now that he is a year old.

Looking good! I have my LM clipped and will do just a few touch ups tonight for tomorrow's show. No full body pics yet, but here's a pic of her rear udder. :)

What blade do you use? I have an olster but have never shaved a goat. I have a #10 and a #7 now.

I also have the oster turbo 2 speed. I just used the 10 blade for these guys but a friend told me to use a 7 to rough it in first then go over it with a 10 to avoid any shave marks. I was just too broke to afford the extra blade when I ordered it lol. Sad, I know. Well anyway just using the 10 worked but I had to clean the shaver out often & add oil. I was really wishing I had that 7 blade for the buck but otherwise that oster cut through like a butter knife in hot butter. Nice. :) I was happy with my $114 purchase.

I love milking her!

I reverse a #7 on the body and a #10 on legs, head, and throat. #30 and #40 reversed on the dairy clip and along the edges of the tail.

They look great!

I will grow a palm tree faster on my hand then make my goats stand still for such a grooming job ~LOL~

Thanks, I know what you mean I can't afford to get the blades sharpened. :hit
