O.k we have quite a few cows and I think that we were told most of them are herford/ jersey crosses. But I wanted to ask. If you have any guesses here they are.

This is Aggie, we just rescued her about a year ago she came with a small calf who looks exactly like her.

this is Helga she does have one horn on the left side which is turned down. I believe her previous owner removed the right horn, because there does seem to be a tad bit of horn left.

Nacho (below) was rescued with Aintcho about 4 years ago. Nacho is a female and Aintcho is a male.

This is panda she was rescued about a year ago with Aggie from a starvation case, she is smaller than most of the other cows.

Last but not least is my baby boy Matthew. He was born with chronic phenomena . We rescued him almost 5 years ago, and he is still the size of a much younger cow. We didnt think he's live for more than a year, but here he is. One thing about him is that his hair is long, much longer than any of our other cows.

Thanks for any responses.

:welcome to the board!

Aggie could be a herford/jersey cross.

Helga--I would say has angus in her.

Nacho, Aintcho, and Panda all look hereford to me.

Mathew also looks to have angus in his breeding.

You are to be commended for taking in and caring for neglected animals. :)

Dehorn or tip Nacho. Horns are dangerous.

But they are so sweet, the only time it gets a little scary is when Chip gets really excited but then Im more afraid he might jump for joy and land on top of me!

Thanks... we currently have about 130 animal all of them rescues!! Very very busy, but its well worth it!

:welcome to the herd!

I'm guessing.
Aggie is a jersey cross?
Helga is an angus cross?
Nacho is an angus cross?
Aintcho is a hereford?
Panda is a hereford cross?
and Mathew is an angus cross?

Brockle-face looks to have hereford and angus in her, as well as something else in the woodpile to give her the gray; shorthorn, perhaps? So she'd be maybe Angus/Hereford/Shorthorn crossbred; she could also be Murray Grey/Hereford cross (similar to the previous guess). I honestly don't see any Jersey in her, thewife. She's way too beefy to be of Jersey ancestory.

this is Helga she does have one horn on the left side which is turned down. I believe her previous owner removed the right horn, because there does seem to be a tad bit of horn left.

Could be Dexter, especially with the horn. No Angus crossbreds would have horns in them, and that's a fact.

Nacho (below) was rescued with Aintcho about 4 years ago. Nacho is a female and Aintcho is a male.

Definately Hereford

Aintcho

Could be Hereford/Holstein cross; the muzzle certainly looks like he's got Holstein in him somewhere.

This is panda she was rescued about a year ago with Aggie from a starvation case, she is smaller than most of the other cows.

Another potential Hereford cross, this time it could be with Simmental and/or Holstein.

We didnt think he's live for more than a year, but here he is. One thing about him is that his hair is long, much longer than any of our other cows.

He looks to be Brangus. The ears are too long to be a straight Angus calf.

Thanks for any responses.
Your other post is definately of a Dexter.

:welcome by the way.

Panda - Looks like a Simmental to me.

Helga - Angus

Nacho - Hereford

Aintcho - Looks a little like a hereford-simmental cross

Chip - Shorthorn (turned out to be a Dexter. See? Don't listen to me!)

That's all I can give. Hope I helped. :)

The long hair on mathew is a result of not enough nutrition when he was young. Is it curly? Most baby calves that dont get enough colostrum end up getting longer curlier hair.

as far as breen the first pic does look like a jersey cross, second an angus cross, nacho looks herford cross and the rest look like they got angus in them.
