About 2 weeks ago I bought some new Zealand breeding stock rabbits. At the seller's home I ask her if we could breed the does before I left; as this is my first attempt with rabbits! Well, the does kept laying down on the bucks! I've tried twice this weekend to breed my does, they aren't trying to breed at all, and I'm getting a little frustrated! Am I doing something wrong? I'm taking the does to the buck, he acts like OK and he will lay down, my other buck just shows no interest

If it were me, I would probably leave the doe in with the buck all day at that point. Check on them as often as you can. If they seem like they are getting along, leave her in overnight. Then wait 31-38 days to see if she gives birth. If the doe shows any sign of being aggressive, separate them immediately.

You can also try putting apple cider vinegar in the water at about 1/2 teaspoon per gallon. This seems to help with general health and fertility.

I assume your rabbits are adults?

Yes they are adults and the does just lay against the feeder or in the back of the hutch! I've got 3 does I Ned breed and they are all acting the same way!

You can move the doe to where the buck can have easy access & just kind of hold her there in the cage with the buck. Lift her tail a little if you can. Wait a few minutes. Usually the buck will begin to show interest.

I usually leave my does in with the bucks (one at at a time) over night. Sometimes for up to three weeks, depending when I need the buck for another doe. I have never had a problem with them not getting bred, but often enough I dont see it cause rabbits tend to be fairly nocturnal.
Make sure you put the doe in the bucks cage or put them both in a new cage together, cause does can be ferocious if there is an intruder in their cage!
Good luck!
I hope it works out for you!!!!

since the daylight hours are getting shorter, we had to put our rabbits under lights to simulate spring and lengthing daylight hours, helped with the breeding. and also add the apple cider vinegar, helps too

Have you tried very early in the morning or late at night when rabbits would naturally be active?
If you put the does near each other, do they react? What if you put a buck next to the other buck while there is a doe in with one of them? Sometimes they will get territorial and that helps.

This worked for me when my buck wouldn't do a thing, I had to get another buck and put them next to each other, the next day it was an INSTANT mood change, in fact 4 days later, I was able to breed a doe.

Also, I have a couple does doing the same thing, I just don't think my other 2 girlies are quite ready. I am going to wait until the 23rd or 24th day of this month because it's a good zodiac sign, so I'd like to see if that will help increase the amount of females I get... who knows... I already got 1 bred on the 10th of November (good bucks), so I can KINDA compare with the one I got bred on the 12th(good does).
