We brought home three new little ladies over the weekend! They are all Alpine, Saanen, and Boer crosses.

MaryAnn, born 3/3/2010
She's a tiny little thing with a little bitty voice to match. She is a triplet.

Ginger, born 3/3/2010
She's spunky and is a quad, and a cousin to MaryAnn - their mothers are sisters. Both their mothers and their grandmother have delivered quads fairly regularly, and all three are excellent milkers.

Lovie, born 2/26/2010
Very friendly and affectionate, and she has those darling little wattles on her neck!

They are integrating well with our original babies, Heidi and Gidget, who are my bottle babies (now weaned). Heidi made sure that everyone stayed together for a walk around the property today:

We're very excited about them! They are weaned and were disbudded at a few days old. Our vet is coming next week to see them, and is bringing a vet student from the university with her. Can't wait for them to meet the new little gals!

MaryAnn's ears are tremendous, aren't they? :D

She is a spitting mini-edition of our Alpine/Togg cross, Heidi:

And, well, I can't post a photo of everyone else and leave Ms. Gidget out! She's our LaMancha/Togg cross:

What beautiful pictures, too!

I love the ears on Lovie - are they like that permanently? I have one doe kid who holds her ears back while her sister let's them airplane right out.

Thanks everyone! We are really enjoying them all. :)

Lovie's ears seem to have a mind of their own - they are all over the place, depending on the moment!

Thank you, Henrietta23! I must admit, although I have a love of all things vintage/retro, it was not my original idea. The farmer we bought them came up with the idea - Ginger had two sisters (she was a quad, had one brother named Gilligan) and they were MaryAnn and Lovie - but they were already taken, so I renamed ours to match. ;) I loved that show!

I'm getting a brother and sister at the end of the month. They are Oberhasli/Saanen crosses. I'm considering giving them names from The Sound of Music, a brother and sister set, but haven't decided which yet! Someone at work suggested Donny and Marie. So we're going retro one way or another here!
