I gave Tylan for 5 days and the oral neomycin for 7 days.

What antibiotic did you use?

Vet said to use LA200 but he was away from the office so I couldn't get any prescription stuff.

One gallon of milk at a feeding sounds like an awful lot to me. Our holstein calves get two quarts of milk twice a day for a total of one gallon for the whole day.
In regards to your question about antibiotics, I would think that depends on the antibiotic the calf was given. Some shots are once and done, some are daily for a certain number of days, some are repeated 48 hours apart, etc. What antibiotics has the calf been given?

I would try to get a better antibiotoc on hand. WE always have Nuflor and Resflor (nuflor + banamine) on hand. LA200 is pretty weak but if you caught it early maybe you can nip it in the bud. I much prefer Nuflor as my first choice. I am a little worried though that maybe the pneumonia has gotten a little bit of a hold on this guy because the gunky eyes and such were a few days earlier.

When I have a sick bottle baby, I try to get them to drink as much as possible. I feed milk replacer, so I mix them up an extra bottle at midday with about 1/4 of a serving of milk replacer but with a full bottle of water. Electrolytes aren't a bad idea, but if they are already feeling funky they usually aren't interested (at least in my experience) and are more interested in drinking a "milk flavored" bottle then electrolytes.

If he isn't feeling well and has a fever, he can have 1-1.5 cc of banamine IM and that might make him feel well enough to eat.
