Hi, and thanks for this great board of info! My name is Cheryl and I just bought a small 10 acre farm in Shamong NJ. I acquired with the house a great goat named FIG who is a wether. Also already here , 2 barn cats. I brought with me 2 goldens and 2 poodles. We just adopted , a 1.5 yr old what I am told is a Nubian. We are awaiting a brother and sister pygmy in 3 weeks. I eventually want to start my kids riding, and go back to riding myself. Come spring we will begin that new adventure.

Nice to see someone else from New Jersey.

I'm familiar with Shamong. Congratulations on the newly acquired 10 acres and Sweet Fig that went with it. Lucky Goat.

Wishing you all the success. Hope to hear how it goes in the Spring. Must be exciting getting back into something you enjoyed and sharing this pleasure (love horses) with your children.

Yes excited. Had 4 horses as a kid. My dad who was Camden cop at that time and had to live in city, bought us horses to get us out in country on weekends. I really enjoyed and want to see my kids be lucky enough to enjoy this new lifestyle. I am going to put us all through the basics of care , along with riding lessons so we go forward with this fully ready.

Thank your Dad for his Service to Camden. Know it wasn't an easy job, even back then. I'm from Camden County so am very familiar with our City.

Smart man to get you out in the Country away from the City. Raised a smart daughter who will not only teach the fun of riding to her children, but the best part, learning to care for these amazing creatures.

I will he retired to Fl, now but still working there pt for the Sheriffs office. Can't stop, not him. His dream was to live at a place, like I was just lucky enough to find and get! I am so excited for his visit in June so he can see it, and all that we have done by the time he gets here.

Thanks for the luck. I am glad to have found a resource such as this board, with friendly people. I have definitely also know of Hilltop. My daughter who cheers , does so out of a gym in central jersey. I am about 50 minutes from that Freehold area.

Ok so was bit turned around. Thinking Hilltop was more East of me. But you are actually near Blackwood? I was originally from Cherry Hill up till a month ago.
