Hi all,

I just joined both here and BYC. I have a 10 acre farm in which we raise goats, sheep, alpaca, horses, and now pigs. We also have many birds of various kinds.

I grew up 40miles east of NYC and am new to the whole farming thing. Moved to this place 4 yrs ago. The birds were here when we moved in. Last year we increased our numbers drastically adding the goats. This year came the sheep and pigs (they came yesterday).

Animals find their way to our door. Usually before all the prep work is done. I hope with the help of all you wonderful people I can learn from your wisdom and make this farm what it can be

If you come across anyone with the last name Fiedler there is a chance they are cousins of mine. I understand I still have a few in that area. I doubt they would have any idea who I am though.

It seems like a lot of us on this site have both goats and chickens. For me the goats came first and the chickens were added last year.
