Thanks I wasn't sure about posting pics. I will try to post on other discusions also. Though I cant offer any good info or advise just yet. I have had the goats for just over a week. They are super cute and friendly and lucky me they walked through poison ivy and then they snuggled me so I am covered in it YUCK! And they are very determined on trying to find a way out of their fence or a way over it lol they sure are persistant. Luna always tries to sneak through the gate when we enter the pen.

Welcome to Goat-life and :welcome We bought our first four goats in February and have since grown our herd to ten with babies on the way :D We absolutely love them! This is a great site with a ton useful of information.

Once your babies get accustomed to their new environment, they should stop trying to get out as much. Make sure they always have plenty of good hay or browse and some toys to keep them occupied. Sometimes though you will get a troublemaker that is always going to get into or out of things you don't want them to. Our sweet Buttercup is this kind of goat. She will dart out of the gate or jump over the gate when we go to leave, but she will follow us right back in so it hasn't really been a problem. She will also climb up the chickens' ladder into the chicken coop and jump on our shoulders when we are least expecting it :barnie.

HA! Its funny you say they jump on your shoulders. We weren't expecting stuff like that and a few days after we got them My DH was in with them crouched down petting them and one jumped on his back and used him to leap over the fence. We now pet them a few feet from the fence just incase lol.
