Hi,
I have three young Nubian cross goats. Their mom is Nubian not sure of sire breed. I'm new to all terminology of owning herd animals and breeding. My experience is from books and the past couple of months owning my girls.
We bought two 4 month old females and I accidentally let them out of their pen in the first 24 hours of owning them. I chased them into a neighboring pasture and couldn't anymore so I left them. We got two more a few weeks later and now we have three because our neighbor actually found both of the "lost" goats and brought one back to us. We're ready for goat raising adventures!

I have so many questions and there is so much info. Can anyone direct me to threads where I can learn about breeding and registering, also one of my girls has hoof problems, and where I can get affordable supplies (first aid, vaccines, etc) online or in Snohomish county Washington? I'd also like to do this as naturally as possible.

Welcome from North Carolina.
One question though. You said your neighbor found both of the lost goats but brought one back. Did they keep the other?

Well, yes and no. He was only able to catch one, he happened upon them when mowing his fence road. I'm actually surprised he caught the one he did. He has a lot of acres so it's hard to just go out and get her, they were really wild when we got them. We all assumed coyotes got them but he said they were hanging with a couple of deer that have been grazing our gardens and orchards so maybe the deer and their wildness kept them alive. Now that she's alone, I again assume she was coyote food.
