This site was recommended to me I am glad to be here. I have chickens right now and next spring hope to add rabbits and quail. I also garden, both for fun and for food to sustain my family. Glad to be a part of this group.

Yep, permit, yearly paperwork, game warden showing up to look you over that's the downside.
I do miss hearing them whistle at sunup.

Used to hear Bob Whites calling, never hear them anymore. Fire ants have contributed to their demise. Also modern grasses that form a matt and not clumps. The clumping grasses leave trails between the clumps, protection from hawks and such.
