New-Ish (AKA Former Lurker)

Hi, I joined today after almost a year of just lurking. I grew up around animals, some pets and some for other purposes but I didn't realize how much I didn't know. Or how much others' ideas and tips can make life so much easier when dealing with different animals and breeds and this has been my go-to for most of my information. I figured I spent enough time coming back (multiple times a week lol) for information and advice, I should probably just join. I live in Southern Nevada and have a variety of animals, chickens, cats, dogs, tortoises, and Nubian goats. I'm also getting Emus this spring, and possibly Alpacas. I've also been looking at mini cows and pigs. I know the bare minimum about Alpacas and Pigs (I have yet to meet a pig I like but I'm told they're out there), so if anyone has any advice or recommendations, please feel free to give it all to me. I love learning anything new, especially when it's about animals I'm new to, like Alpacas. And even if it's tiny things like a goat toy recommendation or valuable information like goats will run right over a Fiat 500 Pop like a jungle gym if your niece leaves the gate open.
