Hello All,

I am so glad to be a member. I run a Farm/Ranch that has a Stable for horses, two donkeys, dogs, cats, 30 free range chickes, an organic garden, and two Anatolian Shepherd LGDs to protect all. I certainly have had problems getting this place going. I am a retired Physics Professor from Louisiana Tech University. I am still working part-time teaching the on-line Dual Enrolment classes. Most of my time now is devoted to this farm/ranch and keeping it going.

I am really looking forward to reading your posts and maybe contributing with my own troubles and solutions I have found or not. I have uploaded a picture of my Antolians Little Bit and Boudreaux busy guarding. Not sure what they are guarding but atleast they try and I love them so.

Sincerely, Kathleen Johnston

Hi Kathleen, welcome to the forum. I am just off I-20 on the Texas side, about 170 miles from you! Please put your location in your avatar, it helps to know what part of the world some one is in. For instance, several of our members are in the Carolinas where a hurricane just went through, and we keep a close check on them to make sure they are alright.

Glad to have you here, your dogs are beautiful. We have two Great Pyrenees to guard out sheep and chickens. Aren't LGD's the best!

I am so glad to hear from. You are very close to me. I will edit my avatar so the info will be available. Thanks for the advice.

:frowHello Kathleen I need to update also . This time of year there isn't much time to spend on the BYH . Almost smack dab in the middle of Tennessee here . And keeping a homestead going can keep a body very busy .It does give you incentive , no matter how much you hurt or how bad you feel critters got to be taken care of .:th Nice looking dogs :thumbsup
Kathleen, just put your town and state. This is the internet and you don't want some wacko showing up on your doorstep!

Greetings and welcome to BYH Kathleen, from NE TX! So glad you joined us. Have to 2nd Bay's suggestion that you remove the street address... Too many uqestionable folks around. Love the dogs! :love Have a 50/50 Anatolian/Pyrenees myself. There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!
